                                 Green Tea

kou teaGreen tea originated in China, but it’s production has spread to many Asian countries. It is made from the Camellia sinensis leaves that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process as oolong tea. Green tea boosts metabolism and enhances fat burning, and also includes antioxidant properties that can flush free radicals from your body.

Oolong Tea

Oolong tea is more of a traditional Chinese tea that is made by withering the plant and oxidizing it under the sun which causes curling and twisting. Oolong tea is known to contain Vitamins A, B, C, E and K in addition to calcium, manganese, copper, folic acids, potassium, selenium, and carotin. It is also known to contain polyphenols which can boost metabolism and control obesity.

Pu’erh Tea

Pu’er is a is produced in Yunnan province, China and is a variety of fermented teas. Production of pu’er involves microbial fermentation and oxidation of the tea leaves after they have been dried and rolled. Pu-erh tea can help to lower blood cholesterol levels by removing free radicals from the body. In addition, it can help to enhance digestion to alleviate many known health problems such as upset stomachs and colon issues.

White Tea

White tea can often be referenced to one of several styles of tea featuring young or minimally process leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. White tea can work as an antioxidant removing free radicals from your body. These free radicals can make your skin look aged.  It is said to be a great way to aid with weight loss and promote circulation to aid in maintaining blood pressure.

Overall the taste of the Kou Tea wasn’t bad at all. It is a very drinkable tea, and I definitely felt a small boost of energy after drinking it. I definitely plan to continue using Kou Tea as part of my diet plan.  A healthy lifestyle isn’t just about dieting, but working out regularly, consuming organic healthy foods, and minimizing the toxins you put in your body.
